Mathematics Department Celebrates Student Achievement at End of AY Ceremony

The Department of Mathematics marked the end of the academic year with its annual celebration and undergraduate awards ceremony on April 29, bringing together more than 60 students, faculty, and families. The event recognized graduate students completing their degrees in 2026 and honored outstanding undergraduates for their academic achievement. Award recipients included Joshua Hall (C.C. Hsiung Award), Chris Giannaras (Mathematics Faculty Award), Ben Spahiu (Thornburg Mathematics Prize), and Hamza Al Farsi and Griffin Moore (Elisha P. Wilbur Mathematics Prize). The evening highlighted the strong sense of community within the department and celebrated the dedication and accomplishments of its students.

Mathematics in Motion
