Taeho Kim Featured in Popular Mechanics

An international team of mathematicians, led by statistician Taeho Kim, has recently taken steps to improve our ability to predict future data. While not exactly fortunetelling, forecasting is a huge industry and service that much of our economy relies on, Popular Mechanics writes. Their new method, called the Maximum Agreement Linear Predictor, or MALP, is designed to make predictions that better agree with actual outcomes. It could significantly improve how scientists make predictions, especially in fields like health, biology, and the social sciences.
